I think STRAIGHT %26amp; long[ish] is the way to go. I love when guys have hair like that. As long as it's not longer than mine then it's hott ;]

Well,as i'm not a lad,it's kinda hard.How about looking round myspace for different types?Peoplehave tons of different types on there!

You could have it longer at the front,maybe covering a eye or two (like a side fringe/band),and spikey/stuck up at the back.

How about dyeing it black and having it cut in a like sweep over one eye but don't go for blond unless you are naturally - doesn't usually work.

hmm my suggestion is dont get one of those haircuts

they look stupid, and i think it will be a turn off for people who aren't emos

just get a normal shortish cut, you could still have a side fringe, just a shorter one so it still looks like you have two eyes! ask your hairdresser for recommendations, most likely he/she will advice you and know what style best compliments your face etc, they will also have books with pics.

oh and don't dye it black! or the new skunk look with lumps of blonde in it

my mates are indie/emo hair junkies. atm it seems that the best thing to go for would b long at the front, short at the back-i'm not talking full on emo. DONT, whatever you do, DYE IT BLACK. you will hate yourself. Unless your hair is naturally v dark it is a PAIN IN THE BACKSIDE to remove and unsightly when it grows out. If you want to stand out get some bright colours in there like blue or something otherwise I'd just stick with some blonde streaks on some brown or vice versa. In the link iv put you can do quite alot with that style once you've had it cut. Hope you find something you like and good luck.

Perhaps have a sweeping fringe.Then the back fairly short and spiked up.You could also put highlights in this.
