Dying my hair.?

I have a darker medium brown colour hair. And I wanted to know if it was possible to dye my hair like this:

But with a dark colour underneath.

Also, how much would it be to get it coloured like that, at a place like JC Penny's.

If you have any tips or anything on how I should get it cut let me know...

sorry. but the only way you could go that light is if you plan on getting your roots done almost every month. you can still get your hair dyed this color, you just have to be able to have the time %26amp; money to keep it up. but what your planning on doing sounds very pretty. :D best answer?

i think that it would be kinda difficult to die ur hair that color considering that ur hair is a brunette but hey anything is possible! good luck! =)

Sorry. Your hair is too dark to ever be platinum blonde. Any beautician who says your hair can do that is not telling you the truth. If you were to bleach your hair more than two shades lighter, it would be "brassy", which means "an ugly shade of red-orange".

Definitely get a professional to do it. They will need to bleach your hair a few times to get it that light. It will go a brassy copper colour the first time, then a straw yellow colour, before going white. You will need to use blue based shampoo and conditioner during the whole process to keep it from going brassy, and conditioning treatments to stop your hair from being seriously damaged. It will take a while, but it looks amazing when you get there. It will cost you about $100 all up, depending on how long your hair is.
