Should i cut my hair like this? if so, how should i go about doing it?

my hair is medium length, layered, side bangs, etc - it's been the same for years. the most i've done to it is colored it. i've been thinking about chopping it all off in a bob but i think that would just be too drastic, but i've been looking into this type of a hairstyle:

I think you could definitely pull this off! Show your hairdresser these pictures, and tell her directly that you don't want the top layer mega short, but you do want a change, with edgier layers (you could also say jagged, or piecey layers) and ask for some ideas on how to style your hair if you get it cut so you can make it look like the girl in the pictures.

the 1st and 2nd pic is cute if u have light brown hair go for the 1st one if u have black hair go for the 2nd one.................since u got light brown hair definatly go for the 1at one =)

Wash and straighten your hair

Bend over and brush all of your hair forward.

Decide how long you want to the longest part to be and cut straight across (while hair is still brushed forward).

Brush hair back and it will be in several layers. You may need to shape the front around the face a little more, but the back have different levels of layers.

Hair must be very straight for the layers to be even

Make sure that you cut straight across the hair, do not cut at an angle

Always err on the side of long, it is easy to repeat the process and do it again, but if you cut it too short, there is nothing you can do about it

i can see you pulling this off....and ya they are going to be giving u real short layers on top.plus it's hair it grows back.change is always something good.=]
